Last year we had to drop the sad news that IF3 Montreal would not, in fact, be taking place and that all IF3 events worldwide would be syndicated. But this year, the situation has reversed. The awards are back, the main event in Montreal is back, and we cannot wait for more of this:

I've only done the IF3 Main Event once but it was a great time, if you can make it out to Montreal then I highly recommend it. Skiing is such a location specific sport, thanks to the price of passes etc and you can easily live in your own little bubble. Events like IF3 give you a chance to meet skiers from all over. I didn't even party hard thanks to jet lag but I still met a bunch of the raddest people out in Montreal, you know who you are, and now I have sofas to crash on across North America.

And for the first time, IF3 will include snowboard movies in the lineup. The Movie Awards will therefore feature skiing and snowboarding side by side, with professional athletes and international production companies from both sports gathering to celebrate the best visuals of the year.

The reignited festival will take place at the iconic Hangar 16 in Montreal’s scenic Old Port and include a brand village, exhibitor booths, music and activities for all. Two separate cinema rooms will each showcase a full festival movie selection of both sports in order not to compromise on the complete and diverse programming iF3 brings each year.

See you all there, maybe you can even win a fabled Newschoolers Award.
