Glacier 3000 Invitational November 12-14, 2010

The best Freestyle skiers will demonstrate their tricks on November 13th, 2010 in the Snow Park at Glacier 3000. Freestylers will be competing for the titles of ?King and Princess of Glacier 3000? at the Glacier 3000 Invitational. For the first time women will also be competing.

Before winter has officially even begun, the top Freestyle skiers will be competing on November 13th, 2010 in the Snow Park of the Glacier 3000 ski area. The 25 riders will be coming from different countries and among them will be Faction rider PC Fosse from Norway, Elias Ambühl from Switzerland, Henrik Harlaut from Sweden and last year’s winner Elvis Eisvold Harsheim from Norway.  In the women’s event the likes of Virginie Faivre from Switzerland and Kim Lamarre from Canada will be competing.

On Friday morning, the riders can practice in the Snow Park for the first time and in the afternoon there will be a public jam session. This is a great opportunity for rookies and all freestylers to personally meet and talk with the pros and get helpful tips.

After the warm-up on Saturday morning, the Big Air contest will begin at 10.00 h. The judges will primarily focus on the technique and creativity of the demonstrated moves. In the qualifications, each participant can show his tricks in several runs. Afterwards, the best riders will compete with one another in the finals. The winner will receive CHF 5?000 in prize money and can call himself the “King of Glacier 3000″. The winner of the women?s competition will be called “Princess of Glacier 3000″ and receive CHF 1?000 in prize money.

Saturday evening is the official event party at the “Split” in Gstaad, where the best photos and videos of the competition will be shown.
