Girls Day Out continues its mission of fostering female freeskiing with two weekend ski camps this season. Girls Day Out ski camps will be held at Revelstoke Mountain Resort in Revelstoke, BC, on January 19-20, 2013 and Kicking Horse Mountain Resort in Golden, BC, on January 26-27, 2013. Online registration for both events opens on November 15, 2013 at girlsdoski.com/girls-day-out.

Girls Day Out events are two-day ski camps that cultivate a supportive community of like-minded female skiers—getting more female skiers on the mountains and connecting those already out there. All Girls Day Out coaches have been or currently are professional skiers. Coaches include Leah Evans, Izzy Lynch, Tessa Treadway, Sarah Frood, Jill Young, Zoya Lynch and Leslie Hogg.

Revelstoke Mountain Resort camp prices are $300 for the camp only, or $388 for the camp and two one-day adult lift tickets. Kicking Horse Mountain Resort camp prices are $300 for the camp only, or $392 for the camp and two one-day adult lift tickets. Camp fees include an opening Rockette clinic, professional coaching, two exquisite lunches, Salomon demos, workshops and a guaranteed prize. Workshop topics include “Inspire: A tribute to Sarah Burke and other teachers” and “SheJumps into Life: Exploring your passion for skiing and how it relates to your wildest dreams.” A professional photographer will be on site to capture the experience.

Girls Day Out is proud to announce a new sponsorship with Salomon for the 2012-13 season. Each Girls Day Out event will feature Salomon demos. Try the Rockette 115, Geisha 100, Rockette 92 or Rockette 90 skis, and the all-new Salomon Guardian bindings. “Salomon’s sponsorship demonstrates a big commitment to the future of female skiing,” says Girls Day Out Owner Leah Evans. “With their partnership, we are able to give camp participants a chance to try out the leading edge in ski technology to develop their own confidence on the slopes.”

Based in Revelstoke, British Columbia, Girls Day Out was founded in 2007 by professional skier Leah Evans and draws its inspiration directly from the mountains. More than just a ski lesson, Girls Day Out provides a life lesson on skis where all women are equal and encouraged to achieve their personal best.
