DROP MFG ADDS BANKS GILBERTI TO TEAM

BURLINGTON, VT (November 12, 2009) – DROP MFG is proud to announce that freeskier, Banks Gilberti, is the newest member of its team.

“I’m psyched to join DROP and help build up the freeski program,” Banks says. “DROP makes the best gloves on the market; no matter where I’m at or what the conditions are, I can always depend on my DROP gloves to keep me comfortable all day.”

Residing in Colorado, Banks is a versatile freeskier who destroys pipes, parks and backcountry steeps with ease. In the months ahead, the twenty year-old will log some serious miles as he competes in the European Open, Orage Masters, Whistler Ski Invitational and multi-stop Winter Dew Tour. When not competing, Banks will keep busy by shooting photos and video with his teammates at Surface Skis.

“Adding Banks to the squad is a big move for us because he’s the first freeskier we’ve ever officially endorsed,” says DROP’s Chris Gougeon. "His love for skateboarding is reflected in his on-snow style which makes him a great fit for our brand. Banks brings a fresh perspective to DROP, and we couldn’t be happier to have him on the team."

In addition to DROP, Banks is also sponsored by Orage, Smith Optics and Surface Skis.
