COORS LIGHT TRIPLE CHALLENGE

March 18-21, 2004

Blue Mountain, February 23, 2004 – After the success of this winters record breaking snowfall and parks and pipes competition roster, why not close the season with a Grand Finale? Blue’s season of snow sports in full swing this winter and the hype is already circulating about the return of Ontario’s A-list pro-am competition with great cash and prizes, great music and great patio parties. Are you ready? Blue Mountain and Coors Light are proud to announce the 2nd annual COORS LIGHT TRIPLE CHALLENGE 2004.

The rumors are true, and Blue Mountain is the place to be March 18-21, 2004 for the biggest spring blowout competition, party and event this season.

The COORS LIGHT TRIPLE CHALLENGE consists of 4 days of serious amateur, pro and qualifier competition during the day and serious music and entertainment at night. Check out the Saturday night big-air from the terrain park beer garden or hot-tubs! Make sure to stop by the on-hill vendor and industry expo area. Everyone will go home with something on this spectacular event weekend.

THE COORS LIGHT TRIPLE CHALLENGE is ready to up the ante at Ontario’s Largest Mountain Resort at the end of the season with a myriad of music, snowboarding, skiing and more!

With this years addition of a superpipe, Blue Mountain, and it’s terrain park Badlands, is now earning a winning reputation of a top notch ski and board park destination. The main superpipe was recently re-built to accommodate a larger inclination, and steeper vertical walls. The rest of the park boasts an assortment of rails from the newly re-built pro-level Nintendo Game Cube section, to the intermediate rail and jib line. The recent additions of a 20-stair urban rail, wall-ride and 55 foot step-down jumps boast the best park in Ontario. The new big-air booters boast a steep landing, and super-smooth transition. Blue is staying true to it’s mention of a “Beast of the East top 5 east coast terrain parks� in the winter issue of SKIER magazine.

The COORS LIGHT TRIPLE CHALLENGE will earn competitors a chance to be recognized as a leading athlete, a chance to celebrate the end of the ski and snowboard season, a super successful events season, a great snow year and more. THE COORS LIGHT TRIPLE CHALLENGE will shake up Blue Mountain like no-other end of season party March 18-21, 2004

Up for grabs is $20,000.00 in cash and prizes. Top slopestyle competitors in both ski and board will qualify for the Saturday night BIG AIR competition, where there’s $7000.00 in cash.

1st ski - $2000.00

2nd ski - $1000.00

3rd ski - $500.00

1st snowboard - $2000.00

2nd snowboard – $1000.00

3rd snowboard - $500.00

All other competitors will have the chance to win great prizes including ski and snowboard equipment and clothing.

Registration is $70.00 for both pipe and slopestyle, or $50.00 to enter just one. Lift tickets for competitors will be sold at a reduced rate of $34.00 per day

12pm-4pm – pipe and slope style practice – ski and board

Riders Meeting – 6pm in Spectacular room.

Friday

8am-9am – Competitor only practice

8am-8:30 – Last Chance Registration Pipe – Spectacular

8am-5pm – Slope style registration – pro / am

8:am-10am – Vendor Village set-up

10am -4pm – Industry Snowboard and Ski Demo’s

9:00 am - Snowboard amateur qualifiers pipe

12:00 PM – Snowboard amateur finals pipe

5:00 PM – awards

7:00 PM – Rail Jam on Happy Valley featuring live DJ’s, Open to all registered competitors.

Saturday

8am-9am – Competitor only practice

8am-8:30 – Last Chance Registration slope style - Spectacular

8:am-10am – Vendor Village set-up

10am -4pm – Industry Snowboard and Ski Demo’s

9:00 – 1pm snowboarders and skiers amateur / pro slopestyle

2:00 - 4:30 finals – winners from slopestyle finals (top 15 max.) will qualify for tonight’s BIG AIR

5:30 - awards

7pm - Big air

9pm – Afterparty

Sunday

8am-9am – Competitor only practice

8:am - 10am – Vendor Village set-up

12pm-2pm – Coors Light Soak and Sign Hot Tub Party and autograph session.
