Bula Signs Phil Belanger,
Lynsey Dyer, Frank Raymond, Colby James West, and JD Zycat To Pro Ski
(Montreal, Quebec - January 14th
2006) – Bula headwear, a pioneer in the winter sports industry,
is pleased to announce the addition of Phil Belanger, Lynsey Dyer, Frank
Raymond, Colby James West and JD Zycat to their International Pro Ski
Member of the famous “3 Phils,”
Phil Belanger has spent the last few years shooting with Plehouse
films, holding down gnarly segments. Super busy, Phil manages his time
between Quebec’s D-Structure shop (where he is also a part owner),
making sure Plehouse Films is on point and keeping his ski game tight.
Based in Quebec City, Phil is one of the most progressive shreds out
there, bringing innovative freestyle to the backcountry. When asked
what he thought about joining the Bula Team, Phil had this to say, “I
am so pumped to be a part of this crew and I can’t wait to work on
my upcoming pro model line.” Phil’s pro exclusive Bula headwear
line will be available for Winter 2008.
Lynsey Dyer hails from Jackson
Hole, but has spent the last few winters all over the world. Having
Lynsey join the team really rounds out the Bula line-up. Her creative
style, as well as her artistic sense is definitely a plus for Bula.
She also brings a big mountain flavor to our team. Lynsey has been filming
with Warren Miller, TGR and is one of the most impressive female riders
out there. Check out Lynsey’s Bula helmet as she will feature it in
the newest Warren Miller film coming out next September.
With one of the most progressive movie
parts, complemented by his sequence in Lebanon, Plehouse film’s
Frank Raymond proved that he is here to stay. Traveling from Montreal
to Whistler, passing by Dubai, Frank is guaranteed to have a crazy winter.
His smooth style on rails and kickers as well as his great attitude
make him a huge addition to the Bula team.
Colby James West is Bula’s contest
warrior. With tons of podium appearances, great style, awesome attitude,
sharp mind and business savvy, Colby is surely one of kind. Colby also
spent last season filming with Level 1 productions and had his first
cover shot in We Ski, the premium french freeski magazine by Julien
Regnier. He will be competing on The Ski Tour as well as participating
in major contests such as the US Open, European Open, Nippon Open and
JD Zycat is one of the most exciting
up-and-comer’s to the ski scene, proving himself time and time again
all last year. JD is still gaining recognition this year, deciding to
spend most of his winter in Colorado filming with Level 1. “I'm so
happy to be part of such a strong team with sick product’’ said
JD, who will also represent Bula helmets. Balancing a rigorous
filming schedule while not shying away from the contest circuit, you
will surely hear about JD’s accomplishments throughout the season.
“It’s all coming together and I couldn’t
be more stoked on our ski team” added JF DuRocher, Bula’s Director
of Marketing. “They are all great individuals who possess the talent
and mindset that will influence the way people ski.”
