Donner Summit, CA (August 7, 2008)-  Boreal Mountain Resort has recently gone live with a newly added feature to its online arsenal, http://www.borealterrainpark.com, focused on interactive technology.

Boreal’s new blog-based website will serve as home to Boreal’s terrain park “News Center”.  From park videos and pictures, to events and bulletins, BorealTerrainPark.com keeps the web savvy customers dialed-in instantly.  The most exciting aspect of this website is it can be updated from anywhere via cell phone.  “I can take a picture while on the mountain building a jump, send it to the site and instantly show our customers what’s new,” said Boreal Park Director Eric Rosenwald.  “It’s a really fun way to have a conversation with our customers.”  This gives the website the ability to have constant, real-time updates, without spending time behind a computer.

Other features on the website include comment sections, links to share with friends and industry reports.  “Now customers, who follow the site, can be informed of future plans for the park and give their opinion easier than ever before,” said Jon Slaughter, Boreal Marketing Manager,  “For instance right now we are installing a new chair lift and our customers get to follow along as the project unfolds.”

Stay tuned to BorealTerrainPark.com as winter approaches for updates on the new Castle Peak Quad, automated snowmaking project, and the 4th Annual Jibassic Pro Invitational set for October 25, 2008.

Escape the couch.  Escape to Boreal, located off Interstate 80 atop Donner Summit, just 90 minutes from Sacramento, 35 minutes from Reno and only six minutes from Truckee, escaping has never been easier. Plus, with Boreal’s new quad chair and enhanced snowmaking capabilities, the mountain is better than ever. Boreal Mountain Resort offsets 100 percent of its electricity by purchasing green power.
