Blue Mountain is Ontario’s Largest Mountain Resort, just 90 minutes north of Toronto. Overlooking Georgian Bay, the four-season recreational and conference facility is situated on the Niagara Escarpment, one of six UNESCO World Biosphere Reserves. During winter, over 400,000 visitors travel from Ontario and the surrounding states to tackle the more than 250 acres of ski-able terrain. The nationally ranked Monterra Golf course is a major attraction for the remainder of the year. Blue Mountain is Ontario's largest CONFERENCE resort with 9,000 sq. ft. of meeting space that can accommodate up to 450 people. On January 14, 1999, Blue Mountain sold a 50% equity interest to Intrawest Corporation - North America's leading developer of ski resorts and resort villages, along with land to develop the Village at Blue Mountain. The Village at Blue Mountain is destined to become a world class, four-season resort that includes 2,100 resort homes, extensive upgrades, new conference facilities, trail systems and a lively pedestrian village with 60-70 shops and restaurants.
