A Multi-Media fieldtrip through your mind! Choose your weapon! Film, Photography, Graphic Design, Street Media Blue Mountain is prepping to host the SECOND Multi-media Showcase! Last years winners achieved great publicity with the winner of the graphic design discipline receiving publication it the buyers guide issue of Snowboard Canada, as well as local photographer Rich Roth receiving the back cover of the Blue Mountain brochure 2004 season! What is it? Multi Media Showcase is an event designed to nurture the talent of amateur and professional multi-media enthusiasts. A display of film, photography, graphic design, and street media illustration (graffiti). This showcase is an opportunity for all amateurs to display their talent, and gain exposure. We all see the people in the terrain park with their DV cameras, and amateur photographers shooting friends, and creating personal collections of video and profiles. Some shoot with intentions of sending their film / profile to a ski or board manufacturer for sponsorship, and some for wall decorations, but all people with this hobby are united with one common passion, and for the pure pleasure of film, design, and photography. The dates of the event are set for Feb 20, and 21 in the Weider and beautiful Kandahar room, overlooking the hill and it's surroundings. New this year, due to popular demand is a professional category! All published professionals can enter one piece in any discipline for a chance to win cash prizing. Prizing will be awarded to the first place contestant only. Returning this year is a famed panel of photography, film and illustration professionals judging each piece with a major eye for detail.
