Just like last year, the impressive Tram Face (intended spot for the occasion) did not have the pleasure of being ripped up by the world?s best freeriders. It was on the ?emergency? Silverado face of Squaw Valley that this 3rd stage of the Freeride World Tour took place. Herrik Windstedt (who dropped in with a back flip) took home the title, followed up by Aurelien Ducroz and Reine Barkered.

This stage marked the comeback of the old schoolers (no judgement intended) who had been somewhat shaken up by the performances of Candide Thovex and Julien Lopez in the last 2 Chamonix stages. This time, Julien Lopez?s fall left him in 18th place, with Candide finishing 17th. Adrien Coirier, who had been told by doctors he would not ski this winter after his spectacular fall in Tignes, pulled off another good run and took home a well deserved 4th place.

Henrik takes the lead in the overall ranking, in front of Candide Thovex and Kaj Zackrisson, with Julien Lopez hot on their heels in 4th. Just a handful of points separate the leaders, so all will be decided at the fourth and final stage in Verbier (Switzerland) on the 20th of March.
