Hey skiers, it's time to get your jib on because UFS is hosting a slopestyle competition!
The event will be held at Park City Mountain Resort on Friday, February 25th. You won't have to compete against skiers like Tanner Hall because the competition is for University of Utah skiers only.
The Pick 'N Shovel park will be reserved just for us. The competition will be in an open jam format, meaning that you take as many runs as you want, in any order, and your best run is what will get you into the finals.
Prizes will include cash and swag. We will raffle some extra swag, so everybody has a chance to walk away with some new equipment.
The entry fee is $25, and if you don't have a pass to PC already, you will need to buy a $30 lift ticket.
You must register prior to the event. Register at the Freeskier Society table, which will be set up on Thursday the 17th and Tuesday the 22nd, both from 11-2, outside the lower entrance to the Marriott library.
You can also register at the wax workshop (details below). You will need to bring your entry fee (you can buy the ticket on the day of the event) and proof of health insurance.
UFS wax workshop -- Despite all the great snow we have, your boards still need some lovin. Come to the wax workshop on Thursday Feb. 17th and learn how to care for you skis. Time and place TBA. Look for an email later this week.
We will have a UFS ski day this Friday the 18th. Meet at Gadzoom lift at 1:00 pm and ski with your fellow members.
