Spirit is about to have the pipe ready. All that's left for them to do is run their new super pipe dragon over it and it will be good. But don't let them disapoint you, they sometime let stuff sit for a while.
so far this year there is a lot less kick on the showtimes than normal making them a lot less intimidating. Usually the big one goes unused most of the year, but it deffinatly has a lot more potential this year.
The Showtime also drops out underneath you like you wouldn't believe. A super steep landing. It's not that bad, but it just adds to the feeling of impending death. Even the small Showtime is like that. I haven't hit the big one yet this year.
If you're planning on coming to Spirit...anytime from now until March/April is your best bet. Everything is open.
It's a Superpipe for sure. The walls are much bigger than last year, but hopefully they'll get out and hand groom it. When they actually pay the park guys to get out and dig the park, it's just spectacular, otherwise Spirit's management tends to let it sit and sit and ice up and get super shitty.
everything is hard as a rock right now, after last weeks warm up and now the cooler temp it will take a bit of tilling to get a good snow quality back. But hey the rails are still fine, they just need to get more up.
