i dont know why you have a problem with sporting life. i work there, and i have also worked at skiis and biikes, and sporting life is really based around the customers. everyone who had problems with their armada's last year and returned them got a brand new pair (no questions asked) and they were re-mounted for free, even though its not our fault that its faulty product (its armadas fault but we took responsibility). sporting life is the easiest place to return anything. you can take anything back, even without a reciept, no tags on it and you could have worn it for a year and they will still take it back. they foucus on their cutstomers so much. we are trained to make sure that customers come first, and you may think that were on comission, but were not. all the staff is out there to help you.
for our boot fit guarantee, you can wear boots for 2 years and decide that they dont fit you right, and they will return them and give you a different boot free, as long as they fit you better.

talk as much shit as you want about sporting life, and maybe they arent as 'core' as corbetts, but i'd say they take care of their customers better than corbetts. i bought my first pair of twins from corbetts and got majorly ripped off, my bindings were used (i was told otherwise), they took A MONTH to mount them cause they said they would mount them for free, and they sold me boots that were WAY too big for me.
so back the fuck off and stop critizing some guy for trying to help you, thats part of his job!

sorry about my rant, but im not saying that to promote sporting life, i just know what they focus on and what their priorities are. we have lost a HUGE amount of money due to people stealing shit, and you cant blame them for being a little cautious.

hah im not bothered with the pay..i make more than any other part time staff, with the exception of 2 people. as for the pro deals, its the same deal i got when i was at skiis and biikes, except they dont let you prodeal snowboard clothing.
as for loss prevention, its still mostly 'customer' theft. employee theft isnt too bad...

im not saying sproting life sucked.. just that guy was really creapy, and if you want to sell something you gotta let the comstumer think privatly about it.. not nagging them about it. that pisses the customer off and then makes the customer not wanna by anything from the store.. think of that next time.. oh and all employeees (espically if the wanan talk talk talk to you) should no what they are talking about./

fine i'll say it, sporting life sucks, there the last place i would go for ski equipment. i live in collingwood, we have lots of small stores, the ones where the people get your stuff done quick for good prices. Not the ones that tell you your skiis have been shipped 2 weeks ago, when they never actually had your skiis in stock.
