Ok guys, at risk of sounding like a dumbass I need a bit of advice. This season I want to put an honest effort into doing rails. I only hit a rail once about two years back and didnt fair so well. Whats your guys advice? Like where should my weight be? How should I have my body and skis to hit it? Thanks for any help.
keep your feet at least shoulder width apart, bend your knees a bit.

Looking at the end of the rail is key. when i taught at PFC my method was putting a snowball on the very end of the rail, then telling the kid to knock it off there. it works. it make you look at the end of the rail more.

lean forward and don't make it too complicated just keep you feet undernieth you and you will be fine.
looking at the end of the rail will get you to the end of the rail. The shoulder witdth henry was talkin about keeps you on the rail. Just keep at it. Slie a small rail so many times that you get bored with it, then go slide it another 10000 times, that will help you ALOT when you go to different rails as far as consistancy. And when you think you got that, give it a couple more slides, haha. Good luck man
make sure u jump up and turn 90 in the air. For some reason whenever i see a rookie grinder they think they can just slide onto the rail. From what ive seen it dont seem to work too well for them.

keep your feet apart. your slidding on your inside edges, not both uphill edges.

find a nice low rail and hit it a million times. dont ride the lift, hit the rail and hike back up. just keep doing it to you have it down then move on to another. and for me, confidence was key. once you shake those butterflys as you come up to the rail, youve got it made.
