went up there today for a meeting and asked what they had planed for their park. they are moving their park to chair 7. no new rails but more jumps and more spread out. also a 15- 20 foot wall ride. i saw the wall ride already up. sounds like it might be a good season.

i actually live on kd, around the block from the hills by the airport, but i work in mchenry county and everywhere else down there during the summer, so i know the area, and enough wonderful wonder lake-ians i might add.

they better open soon. japanadas backyard isnt enough skiing for me. we set up a little pvc rail we constructed last summer and an old tire. fun for now but i want jumps.

they will be opening tomorrow afternoon at 2 pm. Exhibition and Broadway will be open but no jumps or rails. hooray the opened

haha not tell next winter Iam spending this winter at vail. but then moving home to WISCO to be withthe girlfriend. but if that doesn't work out then I will be back out at vail again but if does work then I wanna try to get a job grooming wilmont or grand genvea. But if that doesn't happen then I will just teach again at wilmont so I get a free pass and stuff.. hope for the best though

good luck with all that, esp. the gf. alpine valley has a good (relatively speaking) park, and in past years have been very open to new ideas, so that may be another option as well, away from the wilmot tyranny.

that sounds awesome well its a good start I guess hope it stays cold so they can keep making snow and get the whole hill open. I hope they open on time next year though. but on that note was at breck the last 2 days rode the superpipe a couple times which was sick then today watched all the pro snowboarders practice for the US snowboard Grandprix this weekend..

the wall is up, there is just no snow underneath it or even on the hill it is mounted on. by the way, rentals was soooooooo fuckin boring this weekend.

I was up there on sat, they had the box out and a flatbar that was literly 3 inches off the snow...i talked to some of the park staff guys and they seemed pretty pumped about the park they're gonna have this year, i hear good things a few new rails and the wallride are worth looking foward too...

very very very intresting. well I hope they do something make the place a little bit better. Just take pictures I wanna see this stuff this season. On that note Looks like in a couple weeks iam going to moving over to the park at vail for the winter.

i was up there yesterday and the park was real good. it starts with a good size spine at the start then you can chose between their battleship or their a frame. the battleship is a little crooked and the a frame is smooth. the three tables they have are really good. they have a small one a medium one around 10- 15 fet of table and their booter which is about 20-25 feet long of table. all of their jumps have steep landings. then on the side they have the mailbox. it is three quarters of the way in the ground and the rest is in the air. it is rusty but still fun because of the drop. you could spin off of it real easy. there wall is at the end and i cant really say anything about it because it is the only wall i have hit. i swa a bunch of people hit it and if you go on wrong wood falls off. which cant be to safe but again this is wilmot. all in all i thought it was very well laid out and was very fun.

The pipe is its normal crappy self. the terrain park isn't to well lit for night skiing. the begining to the take offs of the jumps is lit well but the landing and the wass are in total darkness. it is like lnading in a black hole. it sort of sucks.

i heard that the chair servicing the park was broke. does anyone know if it is still broke? i heard on the weather channel that we are suposed to get 5 to 7 inches of natural snow on tuesday and wednessday. hopefully this is true.

the power shut off in town new years day. 26 people were stuck on the lift when it went down, and it hasnt worked since then, last i knew. it was dead today, i got sent home from rentals after an hour.

Wallride? thats awesome, i havent gone yet this year but will hit it up for sure. i live like a half hour away. I cant beleive wilmot is finally gonna have a park, and with all this snow wer'e getting its gonna be way better
