oh man. I'm sitting here at the computer, and i turn around and i realize that everyone in the house has gone to sleep and turned off all the lights. now how the hell am i supposed to find my way around. this house is super creepy too. it's one of those mad old houses, and guests (it's a B&B) claim they've seen ghosts. eeeeeeeek!!!! i think i'll just sit here the whole night. too damn scared.



leaving today:( for a whole month. what'll I do w/o the ocean??

The only time I'm scare in my house is when I wake up in the middle of the night. I always remember about this one guy who would always wake up at the same time in the night and then saw some ghost or angel. I guess seeing an angel wouldn't be bad, but I still feel a little scared. But if my dog is sleeping in my room I won't feel that way.

The only time i've been scared in my house was the time i got sleep parlysis. I woke up and couldn't move or talk at all. I just laid there...trying to move. And...i think this other part was a dream...but it's still creepy. While not being able to move, i saw dark shadows (like the devils in 'ghost' that dragged the dude into hell) moving across my ceiling. Then, while still being completely unable to move...my legs started sliding...and slide from a position straight in front of me...to point out 45 degrees or so. At that point the shadows disapeared...and i was wide awake and able to move....with no recolection of ever waking up. In otherwords...i might have been awake the whole time....and all that actually happened.

hahah you fucking pussys. number one, shit like that happens all the time to people. hasn't happened to me yet, but when I lived in kentucky we had a ghost of a little girl in our backyard. I'd see her all the time, she'd be playing in garden and stuff. Maybe I'm just used to it cuz I've seen so much of it. Ghosts are almost never out to hurt anything, they are just kind of stuck not ready to move on yet. It's kind of cool though, it gives hope for there actually being something after death. I'm stoked on fucking shit up after I die!

Sleep paralysis is what keeps you from actually 'doing' the actions that you dream. Like if you were dreaming of running, its what actually keeps you from really running around while sleeping. When you kinda half wake up, but don't really... just enough to be partially dreaming, but partially awake (its a strange state) Sleep paralysis is still in effect. So you are basically stuck until you are fully awake when your brain catches up.

Its during this state that people experiance 'ghosts' and stuff when they wake up, It then that a lot of people claim to go 'Out of Body' or also claim about 'Alien Abductions'.. its all just sleep paralysis into a lucid dream. The shadows you saw are super common, they werent real. Your legs sliding was just you're brain playing tricks.

I dunno about ghosts being real. I've made my mind up that they could be real. But you should'nt worry about them. They couldn't hurt anyone. They would be pure energy and not able to interact with people.

andy's right, but he left out that there is one part of your body that's not paralized when you sleep, your eyes. that's why people have REM (or Rapid Eye Movement) sleep, because in their dream they are looking around.

Yea sleep parlysis occurrs because your brain inhibits a response to reflex receptors in your body. If ghosts were pure energy they could interact. That would mean ghosts are a bundle of kinetic energy.

I did finally manage to find a light switch, but I don't live here full time, only in the summers, and it's a crazy old house, and guests claim they've seen ghosts! and i get soooooo scared when i hear ghost stories.

I would freak if I ever see a ghost. I don't know, but they are the only thing that really freaks me out. I guess b/c I believe in them unlike aliens and other odd things. I don't know it might turn out to be cool, if I dont run away screamin' like a yellow motherfucker!
