I just got the Sept. issue of Powder!!!!! it looks as though many of this years skis are twin tips. And it looks like they love all of line's stuff. the boots the binginds and the skis.

I hate all this ski mag shit, put out by powder and freeze. I am not trying to whine here I reem out all the other whiners, but aren't you guys sick of buying a freeze or a powder and having 40 pages of advertisments in a 60 page mag. If the magazines were as thick as a transworld snowboarder I could care less, but Since the magazine is so fuckin short, they it sucks. SBC skier is the best mag out there because it has so many articles it actually takes more that half and hour to read. Freeskier is the bitch skiing mag. Just look at the first advertisment on the back of the cover. Its a GMC truck add with a fuckin racer. Sorry thats not freeskiing. Thats gay shit. Even though I complain I will spend the 20 dollars a month to get all the magazine.

i just put down the first transworld issue, then tried to look at the new powder issue. that lasted all of about five seconds. besides a couple decent articles their is jack shit for content. the adds arn't even worth a second look and even the buyers guide is weak.

freeze is part of transworld magazines and transworld is owend by AOL time warner who also owns skiing or one of those crappy ones.

I will say it once again. Every magazine has a formula that decides how many pages of editorial can go with each dollar paid for advertising. FREEZE intentionally puts the advertisments up front so that the features are not disrupted by ads.

Also appreciate that snowboarding is legitimately selling 10 times (if not more) the product that is sold based on freeskiing. When Rossi is selling less than 3000 pairs of twin-tips, how are they going to advertise a full schedule in FREEZE. But, the flipside is that the snowboard industry supports the magazines and knows that Terje and Jussi sell more than just their boards, and that Transworld sells the lifestyle as much as the product.

With more industry support, FREEZE or SBCS could be 200 plus pages. Up till then, people need to support those who support us (and just so you know, that first issue of Powder was weak. THere is ONE grabbed trick in the magazine and how many times do I have to see the same shot of Nobis going 60 in Alaska? Do something new already.) It bothers me me to see all the Jon ads (Oakley, Head, and Gordini) looking so dope. The ads are the only interesting pages in the whole magazine, yet they feature twin-tips in the buyer's guide.

Whatever, I just want it to freaking snow.

PS. I gotta give hella shouts to Detective and Anthony B. for the shots.
