How are these? And why don't some ppl like foam cors? How do they vary from wood cores? I know this should be in the ski equimpment section but I'll get more replys here!

foam core will be tha sickest thing you'll ride far tha first months but after a couple of months the core start to breaak and the ski start to act weird.

I'm feeling greeaaaattt!!!!
i rode them for a week at the begining of the summer and they were sick.
the new synthetic core they use doesnt break down for like 3-4 years now...they did a test at this ski camp i heard of where they skied a foam core and a wood core (just the core) with bindings on them, and they both got destroyed, so it all comes down to how the ski is made and what the topsheets/edges/base/etc are made out of...the spaceframe is the best topsheet ever made for skis EVER....and salomon makes the highest quality skis anywhere (my coach still skis on a pair of 205 cm salomons from the early 90s, they're scratched to hell, but work purfectly) the technology put into synthetic cores these days is amazing...it's not 'foam' anymore, it's almost a hard plastic material that is more reliable than wood, because there's no imperfections...give it 3 years and every ski accept a top end hardcore racing ski will be synthetic core.....and the 1080's are sick....(fatter, longer, stiffer)....sick ass sick
i wa thiunking about getting them cause my teneightys from like 2 years ago are kinda delaming but then i found out they were fatter. if the skis are fatter doesnt it make it harder to grind? but anyway i have decided to buy this years cussons cause they are the same as 2 years ago
