Our teacher just gave us our next project: we have to show how something large can contain many different little parts to it. The assignment is to photograph something big (he said the size of a boat or car, which are very different sizes) and then take photos closer up and from different angles. Just wondering if anybody else had any ideas.
The two I came up with were a pine tree or this lake by my house.

i think it would be siak if you took a picture of pine-neadles on a near tree up close and in focus, while the back ground shows a cluster of pine trees out of focus ....... in B&W would look really good
^mah, depends there on the black and white. What camera are you using? Black and white would be a good backup plan if the picture doesn't come out well. If you have something like a Canon 10D, 20D, or D70...stay in color. Now I may be totally wrong because you probably use 35mm but that's ok you get my idea.

no way hosay! b&w over color anyday. b&w looks way more dramatic and mysterious. color is too boring and normal
Color is powerful if used appropriately
