Line FX 7.3 Darkside Carbon's..should I use em or re-sell em?

I just got a pair of new 175cm Line FX 7.3 Darkside Carbon's for $150 off an eBay store. At the time, I thought it was a great deal. I have a pair of Elan M02 155cms (I am 5'10'), but I am afraid i now have two of the same type of skis. Are there differences between the two enough to keep the Darksides, or should I re-sell them before I decide to use them and spend the cash on something else? My intention was to get something more stable at high speeds and better handling on hard packed than my M02's. What are your thoughts? My goal is to have my M02's for glades, pipes, jumps, and fakie and another pair for higher speed on hard packed. HELP. Thanks

A lot of people really like the M02. What does a ski that is too short end up doing not as well as a longer ski? I am relatively new to the sport and just want to know what I should do so I can primarily ride one set of sticks and get used to them. Will the Line's perform better on-piste?

Good lord, I can't remember the last time I heard the phrase 'on-piste' around here... anyways, yes, they will handle better. Short skis become unstable at speed, and it's harder to get going quickly. I would suggest you buy actual twins, but I'm guessing you're not up for spending too much. I don't know if you'll get 150 for the darksides again, but if you do resell soon, get some Scratch fs off BCstore for $239.

hah yea at the moment couldnt think of any other words. it sucks because the mo2s were expensive and the guy couldve easily ordered me the right sized pair...i told him i wanted something for the whole mountain that could be used to jump and grind as well. why dont you think i could get 150 again? they are new.

definately go with the longer pair. The guy at your shop didn't know what he was talking about. He's one of the guys who don't know anything about newschool and get the misimpression that shorter skis would be better because they would spin faster or something. I dunno. but 150 much too short for you.

no my m02s are 155cm...i said 150 as in $150 for the new darksides. yea i think thats what happened, because he was very knowledgable when picking out carving skis for my dad. how much do you think i could get for my m02s used 3 full days?

I dunno, but don't sell em on here, that's for sure. Everyone here's cheap. Ebay. Or go back to the shop and tell them they sold you to short of skis and ask if they'll give you a credit and get some longer ones.

It really pisses me off because he also sold me last year's Rival X7 boots at this year's price. Because when we got my bro skis there 2 weeks later, he got the new ones for the same price which have more features. Has anyone else had a problem with a shop like this before they knew a lot about skis and how have they handled it? I should have at LEAST 175's is what I am gathering, since I am 5'10' 165lbs. FJAOIUFIAEJLFJAE! Frustration...At least i scored them darksides for 150 new.

i did, i told him i wanted something for everyhting.. that was great on the mountain but could go park...and that i wanted something that wasnt too expert since it was my first pair. i guess i trusted him too much because i got my mountain bike there and have dealt with them before. mehhhh

Definately 175 is the way to go. No doubt about it.
