$45 to mount bindings = expensive?

ski market charges me $45 each time I get my skis drilled/mounted with bindings which adds up pretty quick. im just wondering how much does your shop charge you to drill+ mount? cause 45 seems like bullshit to me

I prefer free, myself... or, failing that, mounting in exchange for some beer. That'll usually do it.

$45 is steep for sure. $15-$20 is more reasonable, but still a wee bit high.

it depends on if i know them or not...if i do it'll usually be 12 bucks which is the price of a binding adjustment, or if i dont know them then it's 30 bucks

If you buy the skis or bindings or both in our store its either $10-$20 depending on the person or sometimes we throw it in for free. If people bring in crap off the internet or from another store, we'll charge them $40.

I dont really have a problem with him buyinag all those skis mikee. Its just our way of saying 'damn. I wish I had that kind of money to spend on skiing but I dont so I am going to rip on you for it'. Its immature. I know, but at least its not really mean hearted.

everything at teh shop I go to is 20 dolalrs, except binding adjustement for a knew pair of boots, thats free. Brake replacement, edge repair, all 20 dolalrs, so maybe something isn't worth 20 dolalrs, but when you get that cracked edge that needs repair, 20 dollars sounds mighty good...

Every ski shop within 2 hours of me charges $40 to mount bindings if you didnt buy the skis or the bindings there. It's completely rediculous.

if u buy the skis there they should mount for free and if they dont then demand they do it for free or take ur bunisess else where, and the most they should charge is like 15, no more than that

$20 canadian at sport chek here.
Which is still a ripoff seeing as it only takes like 15 minutes. Most of that is just double checking that you have it all lined up properly and aren't going to screw it up.

$45!!!!! on my god. all they do is put a jig on a ski and drill some fucking holes. that is super lame. buy them a 6 pack and have them do it. fucking pussies. that pisses me off. ski shops suck! make a work bench at home and do it all yourself. fuck those guys. they get everything at shop form too and they still try ripping the chillers off.

you need the hookups. Maybe you can show your pics and video to a cool store and work a deal with them, you will rock their sticker and they will hook up the mounts and tunes...

we charge 25 with a instore purchase, or 50 if you just bought youre shit off the internet. And it doesnt take 5 minutes, it can if you wanna just drill and slap the boot in. Any shop that does the full job will mount adjust and function test the binding. Every shop should be testing the bindings every time they adjust them or mount. Now do you guys see where the money goes too?? Majoity of you paying 15 bucks propably arent geting them tested, unless you know someone! But usually if youre cool to me at least ill give a break.
