More people need to unicycle. And by that i don't mean stupid gay circus juggling and shit i mean freeride. Freeride unicycling is a very technical intense hardcore sport that more people need to get into.

Post any questions you have about freeride unicycling here and i will answer them to the best of my ability. I will also post some pics later on.

I think the main reason people arent really into it is because the name of the sport is so lame. Extreme Unicycling? Someone needs to get a little more creative and get a better name out there.

yea i unicycle! i have a norco, nothing special, but i can rock some drops and shit. just rtiding is hard enough, im trying to learn alot more shit, its so technical, but i love it.

I can do some Krank grinds and i can almost do 3s on the ground. I can side hop 180 some drops and i'm workin on a backwards pedal flip. My highest drop is 5 feet and i down my local bike park. i can almost do backwards krank grinds. Workin on drops to downhill, those are unreal hard. I can get onto picnic tables.

Last spring i did a 30k bike race and there was a dude on a unicycle doing it... road and trail, bike paths, uphill and downhill, it was rainy... so it was extremely wet and muddy. I had to walk my bike uphill through mud that went up past my ankles, with rocks and sticks in it... because i could not ride through it. Anyway, the unicycler beat be by over an hour.

Well its wicked to see some people ride. I'm gonna make a tape and send it into Kris Holm unicycles this summer. I strongly encourage everyone out there to buy a unicycle and start rippin it. also, if more than 10 people send me a message im gonna make a cult, so send me a message if you want into a cult of such a thing.

i donno why youd wanna freeride unicycle like it looked cool the first few times i saw it cuz its obv hard, but seriously, you limit your self soooo much, like your speed limited which is a huge reason i wouldnt do it and got board watchin it, theres no speed, plus you cant do lots of different drops you would be able to on a regualar bike. And there not very versitile when compared to bikes, like try riding 20 km of trails on a uni then on a bike

^ Try doing a 30k bike race on road, trail and mountain in the rain and mud on a unicycle. Like I said, I used a regular mountain bike and some guy on a unicycle beat me by over an hour. fuck 'limited ability/versatility' ... it just takes more practise and skill. I was impressed.

Keep it in the circus fellas... I have seen a vid on tv of a whole bunch of dorks 'freeride unicycling' in Moab. It was rediculous... mostly just hopping, and not any actual riding.

Save your money and get into extreme ass thumbing. Is this really an issue? Kris Holm has some nuts, but seriously. I'd laugh my ass off if I saw a unicycle at my local trails. Best to keep that kind of thing to yourself.

I freeride MTB as well. but i don't post a 'more people need to mountain bike' thread cuz everyone already does mountain bike. Why unicycle? Because unlike biking you can just ride around and do little drops and play around without the need for any real trails. Plus... if you ever try and go fast on a unicycle, trust me you'll find it's really fucking fun and scary because it's so much harder. Plus unicycling is a wicked work out and good for your balance. Unicycling isn't for the circus. Circus unicycling is like the snowblading of unicycling.

^^They probably could. I was wrong to say such an ignorant thing about circus unicycling. What i ment was that even though circus unicycling is technical and fun, it isn't cool. Unlike freeride unicycling. I obviously have to show respect for circus unicycling since unicycling was invented in the circus. I need to respect my roots.

My unicycle is currently out of commission since it was a piece of shit and due to doing to many seat-out bunny hops the seat has pulled away from the screws and now i can't get any power on my hops and it screws me up when dropping :( ;( FUCK
