nice man, i got into fish this past summer. i bought one of those clown knifes and they're suppose to get as big as your leg.
my guy is fucking huge now. i jsut dropped 100 goldfish in the tank and he is jsut eating them up. it's amazing to see how much he's matured. when i first bought him he was 4 inches or so. now he's well over a foot and he's developed some awesome hunting skills.
he heards the goldfish now. and then lets them kick it together for a little. then he swoops in and makes them all scatter. then he picks them off one at a time. it's fucking rad.
anyway here is my tank set ups:
75 gallon with 1 clown knife; 1 jack dipsee cichlid; 2 black convict cichlids; 1 needle nose; 1 plecostomus; 50 gold fish (food).
55 gallon with 2 african cichlids; 1 black molly; 3 chinese algea eaters; 1 plecostomus; 50 gold fish (food).
20 gallon with 2 clown loaches; 4 neon tetra; 1 white tetra; 2 gold fish; 2 chinese algea eaters.
10 gallon with 1 male beta; 1 female beta; 1 chinese algea eater; 7 zebra tetra; 1 male gourami.
all of my tanks (except the 10) have live plants in them, so the herbavours always have food and the landscape is always changing.
you should also buy an auto feeder. it cuts down on the time you have to spend messing with the tanks and your fish will heard around the area the food drops when they're hungry.
to cut down on cleaning time buy plecos AND chinese algea eaters for the big tanks. and just chinese algea eaters for the smaller ones. also buy an external water filter they seem to help a shit load more than the filters that go under the gravel. and you won't have tubes coming up on the sides.
