We have sent out the first round of invitations to those special few who signed up for our awful April Fools joke.

If you missed out, please be patient as we're releasing this app in limited waves as it becomes more and more ready. If you didn't sign up, please sit tight and wait for the sign of the next round of invites to go up.

If you did, then please post up any bugs, feedback, thoughts or whatever else in this thread.

Sometimes I'll be looking at a thread and randomly an ad page advertising a bunch of candy crush-esque apps and it doesn't let me close it without closing out of the whole thread.. it's so bad it feels like malware. Is this intentional?

Small annoyance but when using the search function, it doesn't sort the threads by newest...

Am quite a fan of the app (andriod) but was wondering about some aesthetic options. Currently the bottom menu bar raises with the keyboard, which just slightly cuts out the bottom of the reply buttons (not majour).
Also the bottom menu bar is slimmer than a lot of apps with a similar design.
The choice of a dark mode/theme would also be sweet.

At a machine level the app has worked perfectly for me, and i have not experienced any bugs.

As the guy above said, maybe a good idea to not have the bottom bar go up with the keyboard, I know on Android my word suggest is above the keyboard and sometimes Ill hit one of the navigation buttons like home or alerts.

Also, is there any way to get to the cult forums on the app?

Suggestion, not sure how hard it is to program but can you make "My Threads" searchable? Sometimes I want to find a thread I posted in a while ago and can never find it. Searching "My Threads" narrows the search base and makes it easier.

It is launching live now!

went live this morning on The App Store, should be a day or two max before it goes live on the Play store.

Beta was smooth and we had addressed most of the bugs. We're switching to production now but will keep addressing anything that comes up.

Would be cool if clicking on a link on Facebook took me to the app instead of the websight but this might be something that only Facebook can change.

Idk about anybody else...but that pop up ad that covers up the notification bar is really annoying. The exit button is also pretty small and I always hit the ad. Maybe I just have clumsy thumbs idk ha

I havent had an issue with the pop up add. But i do agree with the small buttons, a 10-20% size increase wouldn't go a miss

I think I deleted the beta app tester thing so it didn't update to the full version, but I just downloaded the full version onto my phone, i had no clue it was live on the app store haha

Idea here, make it possible to search specific fourms not just across the entire site. IE, Site discussion, Ski Gabber, NSG, etc.

Also completely unrelated, do donations still get you the $ icon?

Minor issue, but If I swipe diagonal while scrolling down, the screen will pan over horizontally to a white space, as if I were using the mobile browser.

Is there any way to make it so that when you swipe up on a Instagram story link it opens the link within the app, already signed in?

Unfortunately we can't, instagram opens it in their own browser we can't change that.

On mobile, it says I'm not logged in but I am.it won't let me log out or view account. I have a iphone 7 too if that helps.

Did the behavior of the three lines button or menu button or whatever its called change? The one on the top left. When I'm anywhere other than home, it's always home, not the menu. So if I'm in this thread and want to go back to the thread listings I can't. I have to go home first then go back to the thread listings. Likewise if I'm in SG and want to go to NSG I have to go home first. I'm on an iphone.

Been wondering the same for a while! Makes me not want to browse the forums bc its impossible to just quickly check a thread and then go back to the main forum page. I think the app has always been like this.

Can you guys make it so once youre in the forums, you stay in the forums? For example if i hit ski gabber from the side menu, instead of having a button that brings you home, it takes you back to the main page of all the forums.
I hope that makes sense...the whole navigation of the app seems ass backwards to me. I feel like theres a lot of unnecessary button clicking and having to back track to get to you were before.

So the hard part there, is that is how iOS navigation works. You go down, and then back up... that is how almost every other app works, you just don't notice it.

We fought with this for a ton of time, and what is there is the best we could come up with for now that made the most users happy.

Try going to the main forum page first, then you'll come back to the main forum page. If you go directly to the forum, you'll come back to the homepage.

We had to do this for people who click on a forum thread off the homepage, and don't want to be stuck deep down in the forums after that.

2 things needed for attention:

1. when you listen to music, it will pause the music once in a while when u press on a thread or any button basically... wierd.
2. when you like a comment, it is delayed at first, it will say “0 likes” and jump to 3 once you like it, or go from “4 likes” and jump to 7.

i mean im no app developer but that seems silly to me. That means essentially you have 2 home buttons 90% of the time while youre in the app. If you go anywhere in the app from the homepage the "back" button leads you back to home...when you have a home button on the bar at the bottom of the screen.

just got a new phone and the bottom bar intrrudes on the “safe area” that’s supposed to be around the home bar. I hate that the home bar is always on the screen on iOS in general but it looks like it’s here to stay and it’s againt apples guidelines to put anything too close to it, bumping up the bottom navigation bar by a few points would be perfect

Also i know this was talked about earlier but was there any fix to the tiny ass reply box?

Edit- i guess its big now with the editor turned on, but when trying to edit part of a quote its pretty damn near impossible to do anything with a reply box thats an inch tall.

Well, I have something to ask for. I’ve got the iPhone X, I dunno if someone else here does, but my problems come from closing the app. As we don’t have a button, but a tiny bar in the bottom instead I’ve closed the app when I’ve reached out the bottom bar, as the “home button” just covers 3 icons down there. Is it possible to group all those icons in the left side, with an expandable to show them up?

I commented about the exact same thing 3 posts above this, to fix this the 5 icons on the bottom should move up to give the home bar more room, safari for example, and many other apps have moved their bottom bar up to that height when they optimize their app for the X
