Should I ski 7 weeks after breaking my collarbone

I broke my collarbone on febuary 4th and plan to go skiing this weekend with the boys at mt snow or okemo. Doc said wait 3 weeks last monday. Ill most likely be skiing groomers probably stay out of the park or fuck around on knuckles. What do you guys think should i risk it or stay home?

i broke my collarbone during a bay preseason never went to the doctor and skied on it until it ended up healing itself. youre fine at 7 weeks if you dont take any bad falls

I skied park the day after I broke my collarbone bc I wasn't aware that I broke it. Probably wasn't the best idea but it was still fun bc I was skiing at the same level as before

I skied a week after cause it felt good. Granted I heal really fast, and I didn't even know it was broken till three runs after I did it. I was back to full park skiing after two and a half weeks.

Tore my labrum in the park over break, continued cruise around on groomers the next 3 days with a sling on because I already paid for the lift tickets. Just don't do anything dumb.

Really 4 weeks after? Were you going hard or just messing around on jibs and small jumps? I dodnt need surgery and it feels great rn took the mountain bike for a spin yesterday. Carinthia will be very tempting.

Assuming you drink your milk and have taken good care of it during the healing process thus far you should be fine. I obliterated my collar bone two years ago, shattered it into a few pieces, ended up not going with surgery. I just let the chicken wing heal and I was back on skis in 6 weeks (taking it very melllow and skiing in a sling as a reminder not to push it). By 8 weeks I was back to pretty much normal park riding.

I just hit some small rails low to the ground, avoid high impact stuff like jumps. I filmed a lot and just screwed around, the biggest trick I did was a front and back 270

i wouldn't suggest it because if you rebreak it will suck more than breaking it in the first place
