Long story short, I'm finishing up my freshman year at UW Madison. Academics were great, but in terms of social life I messed up and chose to live in a dorm notorious for having lots of frat dudes and sorority girls thinking it might be fun. Mistake. On top of this, skiing comes second only to my family in my life, so I have a pretty hard time making genuine friends that aren't skiers. Also, the park skiing here is decent, but I just broke myself off pretty bad in the park so my days hucking in the park may be limited. So...I am almost confident I'm going to transfer to University of Utah starting Fall 2017 and just had a few questions.
Obviously I won't know anyone, so I was wondering whether you'd recommend living in the dorms to meet more people or should I try to find some homies to live off campus with?
Are there any cool clubs (ski related or other) anyone can recommend?
Alta pass + brighton night pass the way to go?
Bring a car?
Also, if anyone else is looking for a roommate, let me know. Really looking to live with a dedicated shredder(s) and I know you're out there.
Peace and thanks for the help.
