Revision Messed Up

So, back in September I was looking around for a new pair of skis for this season. After hours of searching, someone recommended revision skis. They look sick so I got them for a sick deal during the pre-sale. There was only one slight issue, the skis ship date was "mid November" although that was kinda annoying I knew I wouldn't be skiing at all between now and that time. Fast foward almost 3 months and I still havent heard from them, so I sent them an email regarding the shipping. They said that they would contact me in the next week for an Update. They sent another email a few days later saying they ran into some issues during production. "Due to some quality inconsistencies, we made the decision to rebuild a good portion of our skis". At that time I was like "ok, well I would rather wait 2-3 more weeks for solid skis then get low-quality skis now". They also said they would send another email in about a week for a new ETA. I got the email this morning and they said the new shipping date would be THE FIRST WEEK OF JANUARY. Thats almost have way into the ski season. I'm disappointed because the skis looked so fun but theres no way im waiting that long.


But thats not all, they also gave me (and all other customers) a $100 coupon to there website. Sure I appreciate them going out of there way to do that because they definitely feel bad abut this whole situation, but $100 is not gonna keep me waiting around for another month and a half. So, what do you guys think. Are any of you guys in the same Boat as Me?
Could this issue possibly be the end of revision?

freshiesbrahNot that I support Revision but LOL this is fake, nice try. The fonts are different and the text spacing is all weird. Reverse image search come up with that photo for Hotel Cocolobo Gravel Bay, on booking.com and on their website if you scroll through the photos. You also saved your screen shot after editing as a jpeg instead of a png like all Android phones do so its compressed to shit.

Revision screwed up big time, but what's the point of throwing gas on the fire? Let em be hated for not shipping skis, not for a lie you made up.

Saying it's "obviously a joke" is a weak excuse.

I think that is actually a testament to how much Revision sucks, posting fresh prince quotes from a beach while we wait for skis actually sounded believable to a lot of people

Yeah. I mean it looks real is enough but to me it didn't seem too difficult to figure out it wasn't.

Dawg... it's almost May. I hope that I am wrong, but I don't think you will ever be seeing those skis. As stated by many people for many months, contact your bank and dispute the charge as fraudulent before they file chapter 11.

I already did about a month ago but they turned it away because they have a 60 day claim period from the purchase date. I basically just got maximum finessed all my summers work RIPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP

I was hesitant for a while to believe those that were claiming that anybody who pre-ordered weren't ever going to get their skis. At this point however, it's apparent that the orders which were completed yet never updated in status were also part of this deception. Pretty unbelievable that this was allowed to happen, and this many people have been legitimately scammed out of hundreds of dollars for a product which doesn't exist...

I paid $405 for blink 185s. If you look at the website, the price is $599. Believe it or not, $405 does not equal $599

Haha fuck quoted wrong guy, feel extra bad for you though. Worst case scenario is Revision goes out of business and no one gets skis, but atleast we can learn from this experience as a community. It aint easy to make it in the ski industry.

Hear me out on this. Maybe I'm dumb and wrong but whatever.

So in other sports, if an athlete fucks up publicly, they could potentially lose sponsors/endorsements and all that stuff. Makes sense because they represent the company, right?

I mean yeah, athletes represents a company, but doesn't a company also represent the athlete? I think it goes both ways here. At least in skiing. Sponsorship(especially when you have a pro model with said company) is a partnership. If your partner fucks up, you should have the means of explaining your side and clarifying the situation to save your ass, just like a company would try to save their ass if an athlete misrepresented them.

Not saying the bunch needs to take responsibility in this, obviously that's stupid, but at the same time I think coming out and explaining their side of the situation would save their ass so they aren't associated with such a disaster of a company/situation.


Then again, I could be totally off here but just a thought.

Does anyone know the employees of revision? Sounds like you can't really contact them through revision without some bullshit. Feel bad for anyone who missed days this year because of them, it's so fucked how this even happened.

If these assholes start a third company everyone boycott them please. No matter how core and cool they seem to be. For those that know anything about the snowboard world keep an eye out they dont switch over to those unsuspecting people.

That has to be just as frustrating, I imagine everyone's on the hunt for new sponsors at this point. It's gotta be tough, especially for a guy like you who left a pretty big name brand to work with this company. Hope it works out for you and the rest of the team one way or another.

I just hope everyone gets their money back, what a damn shame.

I hope any and all links to revision and/or promotional media/videos/pics are scrubbed from NS. This is the worst fuck up by a ski company I can recall (I'm not talking corporate mergers and buyouts, I'm talking on a smaller scale within our little niche of skiing).

I hope these guys never get another line of credit ever again. Just a fucking disaster all around.

That man is probably somewhere in Central America, with the intention of lounging by the beach for the rest of his days. I can only imagine how frustrating it must be for all of the people who supported this brand from the start
