This is such bullshit how they are still handling this situation. They have had the skis in their warehouse for 5 DAYS. I live in the same fucking state. They SHOULD be working overtime to end this nightmare for everyone. They SHOULD HAVE ALREADY overnighted every single fucking ski order they received to everyone, everywhere. There is no reason to ship them out based on the date of the placed orders. Ship ALL OF THEM at the same time REGARDLESS of the costs because you HAVE ALREADY FUCKED EVERYONE.

I don't understand why you wouldn't take the actions necessary to get these skis in the hands of your customers ASAP. If you go into debt overnighting a bunch of skis that your customers expected in November, so be it. Aside from the wise decision to re-run the skis, this has been a cluster fuck of fallen through promises, very little transparency, and little to zero communication.

Disappointing. Ridiculous. Some serious rethinking needs to be done about the way to run a business.

Patience has worn thin. Successful businesses put customers first. I don't think it's outlandish to say that everyone here that has placed an order with Revision has felt slighted. Don't come in here and tell anyone that they shouldn't be pissed because everyone is getting what they ordered. What everyone ordered were skis that should have been in customer hands by December at the latest. No one ordered skis... that didn't receive QC... that had to be produced entirely over again... that caused a three month shipping delay. If I'm mistaken and someone did order that, please correct me.

Did anyone else get an email this morning saying "order complete"? I'm getting pissed. Not only so they not know how to run a business and put their customers first but they are claiming my order is complete before sending me a tracking number or anything. MY ORDER IS NOT COMPLETE UNTIL THE SKIS ARE AT MY DOORSTEP! Please everyone do the ski industry a favor and never buy Revision Skis again. Spread the word of how terrible this company treats their customers especially to anyone you know who is considering supporting this company. This dude started Epic Planks and ran that into the ground. Then started revision under his wife's name because of a lawsuit filed against him. I wish I had known before I bought skis this season. The dude has no idea what he's doing and has already fucked sent one company out of business just to repeat the same fuckin thing.

I don't think this is justified. I am not in the position that you guys are in (but I was for a while from a different company), but this is overkill. The bottom line of this whole ordeal is that you gave money to receive skis. The first run was not to the standards of the company that ordered them so they had to re-run them. There was a shitstorm of hate and minimal communication between the decision to re-run the skis and now, but everyone here is going to get their skis from my understanding. Revision does not deserve to be respected right now, but to maintain their quality standards, they made a very critical decision that ended up probably destroying their company. This was a tough business call considering the factors of season length, production time, extra cost, reputation, etc. and it doesnt seem like it was the right choice.

Revision initially had skis for the customers, but everyone seems to forget that.

Im not a fan of Revision, and I never really have been, but this wasn't some ploy to screw everyone who bought a pair of their skis. the majority of people in this thread are making it seem like that for some reason.

Everyone is talking about how shitty this is, but the alternative choice was to get the skis from the first run that were apparently very shitty skis (different core and less durable?) that would most likely break very soon. Maybe some people prefer that option, but its something to consider.

Revisions email last week literally says "When your skis have been packaged up for shipment, you will receive an email update showing your order as ‘completed’. Then, you will receive a tracking number for your shipment via email once they are picked up by the carrier." This means your skis are literally waiting to be picked up by the mailman.

We all bought from a new unstable company and took a risk. Shouting scam at everybody isnt gonna make your skis come any faster

At no point did I say scam. But this company has NO integrity. They did not communicate which costed them their reputation. It does not matter that we are getting our skis. It matters that they made 3 or 4 promises to their customers and all of them have fallen through. Among their hallow promises was a lack of communication and just ignoring customers when we wanted an update because their promises were repeatedly falling through. I understand the risks they took but it is no excuse for a company to ignore their customers after failing to fulfill a promise...a commitment. I am not saying it's a scam. I'm just saying that after this shit show of a season for them they do not deserve to stay afloat in the ski industry. I have never heard of anything even remotely close to this happening anywhere else. And if you really wanna talk about quality, they were ordering skis from China for super cheap. Did you expect quality from this company. I know I didn't after breaking my Talismans to the point that they are not able to be repaired after less then 30 days on the hill.

Not a scam.
Not expecting quality.

Just expecting some updates when a commitment to the customers falls through.
By no means is that rediculous to ask.

Lol its SIA my dude. DIA is an airport. Small companies like revision that sell direct have absolutely no reason to go to SIA, the main purpose or which is for brands to introduce products to vendors (ski shops) and not to consumers. In fact if you are just a consumer you can't even get into SIA because you are expected to do all your purchasing through a ski shop. What you said about customer service is true, but nobody would want to do it if you can't pay them and the credit line is all tied up in re-making your skis. not defending it as there are other solutions to the issue but for you to be bummed about getting an email saying your order is fulfilled (basically your skis have been inspected, packaged and are waiting to be picked up by fedex) is a bit strange. You have every right to be angry about a lot of issues with this debacle (we all are) but its not as simple as you think it is. I help out with a small distillery, although it is likely slightly bigger than revision, supply chain and cash flow is the biggest problem we run into 100% of the time. running a small business when the capitol is not massive (in the millions) is a very difficult operation, and what you are seeing with these guys is a classic case of cash flow issues. do your customers a solid and re-make subpar product, invest all your cash in said product, and all of a sudden don't have any money left over for new employees, warehouses and overhead. then your scrambling to find more money to get you back to being able to operate. add another job in the mix and all of a sudden there is not enough time in the day to do what needs to be done to keep your company afloat, let alone maintain a team, keep social presence and individual customer service, not to mention actually sending the skis when they do show up.

Yeah auto correct changed SIA to DIA. I feel ya. I'm just not expecting to see Revision around for much longer. Plus they didn't keep up a social presence. They went quiet on all social media early January. I know I will never give money to this company again. I'm guessing the same goes for everyone else in this thread that has waited over 6 months for skis.

definitely agree that its not looking great for these guys next year. They could have been there, looking for investors but it makes no sense for them to spend lots of their presumably nonexistent marketing budget on a booth that won't have any new product to showcase to people who are not the market you are selling to anyways. Shops dislike direct to consumer skis because done correctly, they could theoretically put the shop out of business. some of them won't even mount skis they didn't sell...I know J skis is on here somewhere, perhaps they could comment on the benefits of SIA for small ski business/the challenges of not being a retail oriented brand. The skis are cheap partially because they are not marked up for retail sale....Every time I've ever gone to SIA it seems that the smaller brands get really overlooked, partially because they do not have the resources to entice shop owners who have been selling rossi, atomic, salomon, and k2 since they bought the shop in 1983 and have great relationships with reps they've been working with for years. they do not need to pay more for a ski nobody outside of the core of the industry have heard of that will sit in their shop for two years before they offload it at a loss to recoup some of the money tied up in it. Its not worth the shop manager's time at the 3 hectic days of SIA to visit small companies and make small (5-10 pair) ski orders, so at least in my eyes that is what stops some smaller companies from attending (at least as vendors). in terms of raising capital, I would assume revision is looking closely on if borrowing more money is worth it for their brand, as damaged as it is or if it is wise to try and cut losses, sell assets and call it a day. all of this is speculation btw I have no idea if that is the actually the case, but it sure seems that way. If they are good business people they could probably work it out and put some checks in place to prove to consumers that this will not happen again, and perhaps do away with the preorder model and sell their skis after they have been made and are in hand, but once again that requires lots of capital to make happen. To be fair before this mess they had a lot going for them, stacked team, great warranty, fun skis and great prices but unfortunately they totally blew it on the biggest part of their business by delivering skis late. I'd actually like to see them have a future because I do think they are genuinely doing things differently and making cheap skis for a segment of skiers who are wholly ignored by most large brands. That being said it may not be possible to recover and nobody can be blamed for never wanting to give another dime to them based on their performance this year.

I've basically given up hope. I pre-ordered my skis on August 3rd and still my order hasn't shipped out. At this point I'd be happy with literally anything that revision could do for me

Preordered mine August 2nd. I haven't received an email since the one stating that they received the skis at the warehouse, but that was well over a week ago at this point. If they're shipping based on order date, I guess they missed me. Really annoyed here

So after the initial glimmer of hope, I haven't had a follow-up to the email saying they received the Skis... mind you, I ordered on Jan 18th. I really hope this doesn't mean I can expect the Skis in April or something if it's going this slowly by order date. Painful.

And yeah, 'scam' isn't the right word. 'Incompetence' is probably a versatile noun in this situation. Looks bleak to get Skis for the rest of the season.

Got my "your order is complete" 2 days ago. Which I guess meant they are waiting to be shipped (even longer). If I do not get a tracking number early next week saying they have shipped then I am filing this as a fraud charge and getting my money back. I just want the fucking skis I bought over 6 months ago!

Hey y'all. First of all I am extremely impressed with the maturity and professionalism of you young dudes. Forums can get out of hand but that's not the case here. Kudos! (not sure if that saying is even cool anymore). I'm almost 50 years old and pissed about this whole thing with Revision since we too are victims. Revision had some manufacturing issues. So what. Get some customer experience training and communicate with the poor saps that paid you for skis. My recommendation is that Revision hires sales professionals from Enterprise Rent A Car. Those pimple faced kids are rock stars and make customers feel like kings! All I want is some love and Revision management to tell me not to worry and everything is going to be OK. So Revision.... is it? By the way the Vishnu post that this string is giving you anxiety... don't worry... we bought skis from you and your company and product are top notch!

I emails Revision to just check up and see how they were progressing with my order & tracking number - lone behold, I have not received a reply from that email (sent 5 days ago).

To be honest, I'm starting to question if those who said they got their skis in this thread have actually received them.

Any update from anyone else?
