EddoWriterI am currently a beginner-intermediate skier, and I am looking to buy skis for my season out here in France as hire is very expensive, do I buy old secondhand skis which are good for beginners, as I have not quite developed my own style? Or do I buy skis which are new and are intermediate level skis and allow me to progress? I've learned the basics in skiing and can ski reds and blues, and I can parallel turn, but I am not quite good enough to ski blacks.
JibbaTheHutti dont think swandog has really looked at your level. personally if i was you i'd buy a pair of used all mountain skis on ebay or the facebook page skibay and improve your all mountain skiing before you start going into the park.
the most important thing to learn in skiing is proper technique, if the company you are working for has links to a ski school see if you can get a few cheap or even free lessons as it will make you improve so much faster.
where in france are you going to be working?
