DribAlleyI am considering buying a shotgun mic to enhance my audio in my future edits.
My question is: which is best
Cost: 0 - 150 € (sorry european)
Type: Shotgun
Camera: DSLR
Should be relatively easy to use ( im not a sound/music pro, but im not dump either)
I dont care if its stereo or mono if it is recording good sound
ty for your answers
ben_collinsFor a dslr definitely get the Rode Video Mic Pro
GrantLewisIsDNTMThis. Make sure you get the right one, you need to get the Pro version. Everything below it kinda sucks. Watch videos on how to get the best sound out of it. You're also gunna want a deadbeat cover, skiing is fast=wind noise
Save some money and get a takstar shc if I remember the name correct, I have compared the quality next to my friends rode and the rode has a heartier sound but the takstar picked up just as much clean sound no hiss, has decibel gain and all that. I am able to pick up clean audio from 3ft away to 300ft across a canyon can hear rider say oh shit going up an in run of a booter MIC is 30 bucks and have a newer lavalier model. Also do not spend money on the rode deadcat micover makes one that is literally 85% as good at blocking wind on jump lines etc. Just my input
