I bought 'Living Well Is The Best Revenge', Midtown's latest release yesterday. I had bought their old album on a whim and wasn't terribly impressed or shocked by anything original but this new album is sooooo sick. I've only listened to it through twice, but every song is a release-worthy track. It's much more upbeat than their last one and just sounds really good.

I also bought Taking Back Sunday 'Tell All Your Friends', Thursday 'Full Collapse', and NFG 'Sticks and Stones' after downloading a few tracks from each. All are worth the money so go out and support these bands.

dont support NFG... their newest album is almost as bad as the cover album they put out.

thursday=really good
taking back sunday=really good
new midtown cd=alright. really poppy, and gets kinda old after a while
sticks and stones by NFG=trash. they've gotten worse and worse since 'nothing gold...'

After a few days of listening I still really like the Midtown album. Gene's right, it is poppy, but still wicked good.

Taking Back Sunday and Thursday are both awesome. Thursday's lyrics are so cool when you read them and really listen. I read somewhere taht TBS sounds like Thursday and Saves The Day combined and I think that about sums up the band.

As for NFG, I like the album. I didn't start listening to them until Nothing Gold Can Stay so I don't know their older stuff and can't bash the new shit.

yea thats the description of TBS on interpunk. i like the way they have two people on vocals and a lot of their songs are pretty good.
