there are two different types of turntables. belt drive and direct drive. scratching and such sucks with belt drive. technics 1200s, the best turntables ever, are direct drive. theres a reason for this. you can get dj in a box packages with direct drive tables too.

you can get a gemini set for way cheaper that direct drive. ^ this dude seems to know his stuff
