so just got home from a sesh at elm creek, MN, and when i was ready to leave i couldnt find my keys. i then realized i had locked them in my car. went to the front desk but they were no help. tried using some metal lift ticket wickets but that didnt work. luckily my dad was close and was able to pick me up. so that got me thinking, any of you guys done anything stupid like that?
Went to the hill one afternoon before it opened after it had snowed 15 inches. Had all my stuff sitting in my trunk, set me keys down and for some reason closed it thus locking everything inside. Had to use a landline to call home and have someone bring my spares. Sadly I missed out on getting first tracks but it was still an awesome night.

Use a shoelace with a small loop tied in the middle. start at the top corner of the door, get the loop in then shimmy it down to the pin lock. Get the loop around the the lock, pull to the side and pull up.
I always bring my keys with me when I get out of my car, it's just habit now. My gf and her family always leave the keys in their cars. Like even at school sometimes. Well they finally got the keys locked in the car so I'm glad they learned their lesson.
Also I locked my keys in my car one time but subarus are ridiculously easy to break into if you have a few small resources hahaha.
I've locked my key in my car when I went out for a kiteboarding session once, I forgot to zip the key up into my wetsuit before my friends and I rode the wind about 20 miles. So after about 3 hours of hard riding in the sun and saltwater, I was locked out of my car with no water to drink, couldn't take a cab anywhere because I was soaking wet and wallet was locked in the car. Had to wait almost an hour for my dad to bring me my spare key.
Ever since then I always make sure my keys are in hand before I lock my car/house/whatever.
Not locked in a car but a friend of mine lost his keys on a golf course and we drove around for 2 hours in the pitch Blake using phone flashlights trying to find them. The set he lost was also his only set.
day after halloween i was pretty hungover but had to referee at 10am. i get to the field and im getting all my stuff together on my front seat and am almost ready to go (so i had the car locked but door open) when i drop my water bottle, so i put the keys on the pile of stuff (my phone and all my stuff to ref was also in this pile) to pick up the water bottle. On the way up from picking up the bottle my shoulder hits the car door and it shuts--locking everything inside. I had to sprint to the nearest qfc to borrow their phone to call my dad to drive to where i was to unlock my car so i wouldnt be late to ref. one of the stupider things ive ever done
I've locked my keys in my car twice. Once when I was at the golf course and once during the winter when I started my car and accidentally locked the door. On the car I have now the doors won't lock no matter how hard you try if the key is in the ignition.
