style is opinion based. but making sure you carve well and take off correctly and position correctly on rails isnt a bad thing.

this looks like an interesting product.

This is cool.
And it passed its goal on kickstarter.

I could use this on the Heartcarve custom piste to count turns.

F*** yes: that's going to be much easier than holding a clicker or using a sensored line to count turns.

I might even wear a sensor on the head or neck to measure upper body angulation... so tons of new metrics to use for ranking piste performance

it's not a chip it looks like a very thin insole. the square chip is outside your boots

Even worse. I want as little in my boots besides my feet as possible, and definitely not an entire second insole that's a whole millimeter thick

I think it brings usable, meaningful information AND improves your skiing (making you feel better) then it is good. I wonder how much ski background the founders have.

i used one, it just kept saying shit like "ERROR, ERROR, YOU-ARE-TOO-SICK-FOR-ME. WOAH, THAT-CLIFF-WAS-MASSIVE, PLEASE...SLOW...DOWN" etc etc

really not that useful IMO
