Sure they do some insane shit, but like 70 percent of there edits is hand drag turns and lsm straight airing shit with his arms pointed directly out. I feel like people have jogged around this thread but it has never been actually made.

I mean realistically its about having a different flavor and different take. Yes, if you add up the mathematical rotations of their tricks, its far less difficult than both way triple corks.

However, with different style comes a different appreciation of what they're doing. its different - even if its simple its not something people have done before in that specific way.

It adds diversity to the type of film skiing we can all watch, and hell its fine if you're not into it. I disagree because I love watching their style and unique flavor, but that's just my opinion.

there having fun and killing it in the process, dont hate because they dont throw triple corks and doube mistys off of everything. they just have a different style of skiing. if you dont like them then dont watch but yr just giving them more publicity by making threads about them

I honestly really like what they do. I think their approach to skiing is fucking awesome and the fact that they do what they want without giving a fuck is awesome. I can't say I'm a huge fan because their movies just aren't for me. But damn, skiing needs more of this! More creativity and less fucks to give. So yeah, the bunch is cool imo.

It's just a different style/type of skiing. Everyone likes their own type of style and their not about who can throw the biggest trick or spin the most times.

don't get me wrong the tricks are impressive, good job. however there isn't any character/ I was left unsatisfied. Could be my own taste but the edits that last forever hit you on a level that isn't just dub12 dubthisdub that. maybe that's why I enjoy traveling circus so much. show some god damn personality

I literally just watched Finito, and it is an absolute masterpiece. If you dont like them that's fine. And if you can't even appreciate the uniqueness and creativity that they put both into their skiing and their editing style, then simply don't watch them. I know you weren't expecting people to agree with you. Why hate?

i respect the bunch for the shit they do, some of it may not be my favourite to watch but still sick.

I just can NOT stand the kids that try to ski like them, 99% they just look like idiots, that type of skiing only looks good if done reallllllly well.

I don't get this logic

"people hated on comp skiers so lets just do the same thing for whatever they like and then tell them they can't complain"

it still goes both ways. if you want hate threads to stop, making them about the polar opposite subject as some kind of revenge wont do anything, its like fighting fire with fire or some shit

the bunch/comp skiers are not ruing skiing. the bunch/comp skiers are not saving skiing

Tbh I don't think anyone was upset. But I get what you're saying. Everyone is gonna disagree on this and think their style of riding is better. And it's whatever, at the end of the day no one really cares what you prefer. And if they do they're probably a Jerry. Skiing is skiing. Just keep it chill. No need for anyone to get butt hurt due to difference in opinion.

This is true. Everyone talks shit all day on comp skiers and people who prefer to perfect their tricks technically, and they are hardly ever challenged for expressing their opinion, and it's never called "hating". Whenever anyone expresses a negative opinion about the bunch, regardless of what it is, everyone is so quick to tell them they're wrong and that they are "hating" and "just being negative". Opinions are opinions, your's is no more valid than those who disagree with you.

Everyone who defends the bunch seems to think that if you don't like what they do you then you must like comp skiers who only throw doubles and triples. There is so much more to skiing than those two sides and its hypocritical for those of you who support creativity and uniqueness in skiing to reduce our sport to just those two sides.

All this being said, Finito was fantastic and I think the Bunch can be great when they stop being so serious about not taking skiing seriously.

This is just how skiing is anymore. Someone comes out with an innovative style and five minutes later everyone is SO OVER IT, SO PLAYED.

I feel like we're going through a phase of a resurgence of the mentality that bred aerials and most of classic freestyle. There's deep roots in skiing of the idea that you must win by mathematics, so loads of the hate you see towards guys like the bunch come from those who believe that we need to go to the maximum human limits of flip/spin rotations to find true progression.

New styles definitely do breed those who like them and who don't, but I feel like in the world of those who like film skiing The Bunch is fairly universally liked. At least by say 80-90% of people who are into that.

Of course, style is like fashion and its relatively cyclical - also follows trends and such. However, The Bunch are here to stay. You only have to look at where snowboarding has gone to see where we'll end up in a few years and guys like The Bunch are going to be at the heart of it.
