thebusiness19I'm probably gonna get fucked for this but that was 45 minutes of pretty much bullshit. As someone who loved Finesse and got unbelievably stoked by the Finito trailer I just have to say this. I knew from the Finito trailer there were going to be great shots in there and there were certainly great shots. They just got totally lost in the bullshit though. It's just a shame because those were some of the best urban shots of the season. The handdrag to grind on the wood rail was one of the most progressive shots I have seen but by the time I got to see it I was practically nauseous from the filming and the bullshit that had preceeded. Maybe I am just close minded or something. It just felt like they tried to do too much in the space of the already long 45 minute run time and make some kind of statement through the filming and editing about society in general and somehow in that already long time period ended up doing too little. It is such a shame that the best most talented skiers out there like Magnus Graner, JNills, LSM, BMack, Par, Jerm, etc. had the culmination of their season in such a piece of garbage like that. I know this is again probably going to sound close minded or contrarian to the vibes of these skiers, but if LSM and Magnus had just filmed for Level 1 it would have done their seasons much more justice than the banger shots that just got lost in shitty filming and juvenile editing. I know this is quite the rant, but I was just surprised by how Finesse was one of my all time favorite ski movies and this was probably my least favorite.
You ever get a new album from one of your favorite artists and hate it the first time you listen? Then you go play the one you loved and try to understand wtf they were thinkin with the new shit, but after a day or a week or whatever you listen to the new one again and find parts you like. fastforward another period of time and you bump it non stop and love it. enter finito.
The Bunch didn't get lost in bullshit, you did. Watch it a few more times and find your way out. tis worth it, I promise.
Hermione was going skiing with her parents, something that greatly amused Ron, who had never before heard of Muggles strapping narrow strips of wood to their feet to slide down mountains.
