Atomic Automatics 117
Anyone own this ski? I've looked for reviews and haven't heard much. I can get it for a pretty good price so I'm considering copping them for the next dump. So if you have any experience with this ski let me know!
Yeah man, I got a fresh pair of them, and they are super epic!
Cut well when it's deep.
Are super chargy, and go hard in most conditions.
Have a mean flex pattern and aren't too heavy.
I'd definitely recommend getting a pair! they go super hard in chopped up stuff too, like after it's skied out they are still money.
My buddy owns a pair and loves them. He skis them more days than any other ski he owns so they must be pretty versatile for their size. They float really well as expected plus the massive shovels and relatively pinned tail makes them pivot well in tight spaces. Just hand flexing them they didn't really seem to be overly stiff but they rip really hard. Yesterday we were out doing laps from the highest point to the lowest point on the mountain (about 3000 vertical feet) so you get a large variety of snow conditions from boot top pow to mash potatoes and granulated snow over ice. The skis didn't miss a beat! PS this is all from his word of mouth not mine I haven't been able to steal them from him for a lap yet so I'm not speaking personally but he raved about them so much I thought it may be helpful.
I had the original model. Great at everything but never outstanding at anything. A solid option if you can only afford a jib ski and an "everything else" ski. They're very easy to ski so size up. I got a friend who is 5ft9 a pair of the 186 last winter and he loves them.
