Volkl Wall = All Mountain Twin?

What the title says... I've read that the Volkl Walls are a really good carver considering they're a comp standard Pipe n Park ski. As an ex-racer, I'm looking for a twin tip that's stiff and can carve but is still fun to play around.
The Wall's seem a perfect fit from what I've heard but haven't seen many reviews on them. When I mean all-mountain, I mean something sub 100mm preferably because my Magic Js will tackle anything else.

would you reccomend the walls guys?

I would go with something wider and with more rocker if i needed all mountain sticks.

volkl bridge? Stiffer than the walls, 95mm underfoot, great quality. You could also go gotama if you wanted something a litter bigger.

volkl walls are the best park ski for skiing all mountain ive ever had, if that makes sense. even more than wider/rockered skis like the line chronics or k2 recoils. idk they are very very reliable and consistant imo

wayyyy too soft for an ex racer. you will hate skiing these.

realistically for a racer, you should get comp level pipe skis for the park and a different set of shis for all mountain like blizzard bonafides or volkl mantras just because no ski will feel stiff enough for you when riding around the mountain

Maybe he will, maybe he wont. He was considering walls after all. Blizzard cochise has metal, the mantra isnt a twin and is def very directional in its skiing.

im not sure what you are saying here. bonafides are flat tails so are mantras... i wasnt saying he should ski park with these. i was saying he should buy two pairs of skis, and that volkl bridges are a noodle of a ski and a former racer or really anyone with race training would hate skiing them as they just couldnt live up to the needs of someone train on the stiffest skis they make...

I was saying that both of those skis are flat tail, directional skis. OP said he wanted a twin tip. Ive seen plenty of ex racers and comp skiers on bridges, even racers sometimes like a more playful ski. The bridges are far from noodles too.

Devastators would be a good match, 108mm waist, full rocker, stiff and damp. Chargey and slarvey in one.

i can agree with this but devastators are pretty wide for an average all mountain park ski

To each their own. My DD ski is a hoji, and i ride park, drop cliffs, chutes, bc, groomed, everything and anything. That said my DD ski when I lived in Wisconsin was a 98mm line mothership and 95mm ARV. That was back in 2002-2006 when that was a FAT ski.

I've got the bridges and I love em, really playful in trees and throughout the mountain, but surprisingly chargy for a full rocker ski. If you've got a dedicated pow ski already, the bridges would be a good choice for not so deep days. They do ski a little short, so if you get em, get them longer than you would usually, but I've had a ton of fun on them.

Volkl makes very stiff skis but the bridges are a good pow ski by them.

Ex racer here....Surface Blanks (formerly watchlifes and no funs (i think)) are very very stiff. Many people hate them here I personally love them. Have held up great for me and can hold down a carve pretty dam well. As I said...they are very very stiff the website does no justice to them. Hard to butter, etc. That isn't what I do so I dont personally care. Not to mention they are a really good price.

i have the walls and they're super stable. have used them all over and they hold up really well, but for a true all mtn twin i'd go for something a little wider

NFX is not ultra stiff, but is decently stiff underfoot and does not get way too soft in the tips and tails like more playful park skis. It's also full sidewall. Not great for durability but awesome for holding an edge.

I promise if you get on an NFX and rip groomers, you will forget you are on a park ski. It's probably the best park ski i've ever tried for (frontside) all-mountain skiing.

I want a playful ski but can still hhold up when I carve it down the slopes

Have you flexed the bridge? Thing felt pretty damn stiff to me. I would say it is a squirrelly ski due to its full rocker, especially when compared to the cambered Volkl wall. But a soft noodle? Def not the case...

Blizzard has great skis. They carve, they're stiff, but snappy. Regulators or Peacemaker are your best bet

I'm a hard charging skier and I've used these skis for like 7 years. They are very stable at high speeds. Not exactly the best for powder but they are very stiff. A very similar ski that is also possibly stiffer is the fischer Nightstick. If you shred powder sometimes I'd refer to some of the wider suggestions here.
