Mrossi99sounds like you could handle the 185
japanadathats a decent amount of ski and weight for a smaller guy like yourself to be throwing around flipping and spinning. Im 6'2'' and have skied the 185s and the 19Xs, They are big, heavy and cumbersome imo, and def not a very directional ski either. I would ride the 185s if I was looking for a more jibby ski. Are you able to demo?sadly I can't demo the new ones. I was in the shop again today looking at them the difference between the 2 look pretty marginal to me however you are right about the spinning and stuff. My thoughts were they have so much rocker that you are losing all the edge contact that's why the 185's were what I was thinking.
japanadaYou could always demo last years just to get a feel for the sizes. I guess you need to decide do you want more maneuverability in tight spots and off jumps, or more straight line/fall line skiing stability.i can only get my hands on the generation before the hrzn tip model. (Sorry I should have explained that a bit better) I do ski lots of relatively tight spots however I do occasionally like to let em go and straight line some stupid line. That's why I'm so torn cause traditionally I have always been a guy who skis fast and hard but these seem really appealing to me when I saw them for the first time.
That question was what ultimately had me going with the 187 HOJIs over the 195s

japanadaThats still would be a great representation of the new ones. Those tips are only gonna do anything in the powpow or spring slush. What skis and sizes have you been on as of late?skis I have been on lately are some 172 rossi soul 7 which felt much too short for anything some shreditor 92's in a 170 that I ventured into the park with a couple days on some soft line ski I think it was a sir Francis bacon or blend in 178 I believe (can't remember sorry) and a pair of rossi super 7 in a 180 which I liked but isn't really a ski that I would want to ride switch much on. If that's any help I apologize for not being super specific I have a horrendous memory.
I will say that the bents are more of a jibby, slarvey, fun ski, than a mach 10, charging chutes at 70mph ski.
