Next next, do you want/need to have a walk mode on your boot? They do not introduce any weakness into the design, it just may or may not be a feature that is important to you.
Next next next, make sure you plan the cost of a footbed into your budget. Without a footbed, even the "right" boot for you might not work that well since your foot is free to flex, twist, and move around inside the boot. Make sure you invest in a footbed along with your boot.
