How to do a switch up on rails

I like uploading these videos directly to newschoolers but I do not think I reach all the people who would benefit most off of this, so that is why I am posting it here as well. If you like it please give it an up vote or if you have any suggestions please feel free to let me know.

Thanks for the videos, they are big help in learning some new stuff and thinking about cleaning up some older tricks.

I want to try this out this week but I have a fear of sliding rails unnatural and whenever I try have really poor technique. It is the mental block you speak of but I wondered if anyone has any tips on how to improve the innatural rail slide game apart from simply saying "hit some more rails unnat bruh"?

I'm that good at it, but the biggest thing that helped me at unnatural was thinking about dropping my front shoulder when sliding

Yeah I'll just have to make sure to reach for my knee for the balance and try to get truly 90 today.

The way I learned to get over sliding unnaty was I would get on the rail pop the swap and come out. Seriously. If you use the techniques Jake describes, ie. Pedaling and the shoulder technique, you will land but also kind of lock back onto the rail. Try to not even think about how you will be aliding unatural. Just pop the swap and concentrate on bringing it around. By the time you realize you're unnaty you'll likely have slid the rail anyway.

Thanks, I tried it and got my first 2's onto boxes so pretty stoked. Still working on my pedalling as it sucks.

Feather your skis on the rail to set up your rotation and jump the swap. Make sure that when doing blind swaps to keep your skis level with the rail to not get caught on the coping. It will also really help to be good at sliding rails both ways.
