Nike jackets?

Has anyone had any experience on the mountains with Nike jackets? I have never purchased an expensive coat for boarding before and I wanted to know if it would be a smart investment? This nike Hazard Jacket is the one I think is awesome.

Don't buy Nike and support core brands that actually will put money back into the sport because they care about their riders and not just increasing the bottom line at the end of the fiscal year.

I haven't seen a Nike jacket in person...but if they make a quality product at a competitive price i'll consider it if it looks good. I like the jacket in the picture actually. Growing companies put money back into the companies. I get they are much more oriented with the sport since its a grassroots type of thing....but its up to them to deliver a competitive product to compete on a global scale.

Bet you that is one of those long ass parka's soccer players where on the sidelines. Doesn't look like its made for skiing and I'm pretty sure Nike SB stopped making any snowboard gear so an jackets they did make aren't available anymore.

I got a Nike Van Patten insulated jacket a few seasons back, it's pretty good, waterproof and warm, a little heavy though compared to some other insulated jackets I've had.

Thats how companies like nike started ya know. I'm not saying don't support small companies but if they're successful they will eventually turn into larger companies that have less interest in putting money back into the sport

its not that nike is large, it's that they aren't a ski company. at least brands like North Face, REI, etc have some interest in skiing/snowboarding as a sport rather then a market

Since when do core companies have extra money to put back into the sport. Didn't JLev talk about how he was pretty much broke the entire time he owned Line in his Ted Talk?

I'm all for supporting small, start-up, core companies, but they aren't the ones who are going to put significant resources back into the sport.

We need big companies because they have resources and we need small companies to keep things fresh.
