Im a junior in high school and recently theres been a larger amount of homework dumped on me along with several tests, pressure of sports, ACT SAT prep, etc. SO I felt the need to adjust something in my nightly activities cause it just wasn't working. So what Ive started doing is getting home right after practice at around 5 take a nap until 9 or 10 and then study/homework till around 2 or 3 A.M. then wake up at 6 for school. Iv'e felt fine and haven't noticed any difference in my cognitive abilities ( no special powers, harder to concentrate, etc.) The only thing I really noticed that in my 5 hour nap I have really weird dreams and then the 3 or 4 hour sleep i never have any. by weird i mean sitting in a purple triangle room while a fish in a suit repeats the word 'symphony' for several hours. I was wondering if there was anyone out there with weird sleep habits or have ever tried anything like this, what effect will this have? Is this going to work longterm or are there any other side-effects? ALSO weirdest dreams anyone?
I do not reccomend you take those huge naps after school. You should be getting 8 hours of sleep in one sitting, not just chopping it up. It will have a negative impact on your physical health, and your mental performance.
SIP J.P, Sarah, Warnick, C.R., Shane, and all those lost.

Basically end thread
Sleep is insanely important, and so is doing it in the correct rations. Around every 3 hours of sleep you enter a new sleep cycle, waking up at the end of a cycle (i.e. After 3,6,9 hours) is considerably easier.
