WattsI guess so. By "playful" do you mean "ability to hold an edge?" Because that's all a tune will do for you. No matter how much you tune a ski, it won't effect the ski's flex, which is the basis 99.9% of the people in the world use when figuring out how playful a ski is. I've never heard anyone base how playful a ski is off of the sharpness of its edges.
I think or it as a ski that has 1,5 to 2.0 degree base bevel and a smooth structure on the base. This way the ski can spin around easy and butter like sweet. Slide sideways easy.
The ski may or may not be super sharp.
To me playful means much more than a soft flex. It could be in a stiff ski as well. Less camber and more rocker can also add to playfulness.
Thanks for your point of view. Now you know where I'm coming from. Take care Watts.
