STwoopsYeah, that's the issue. I have a very wide foot and it's weird that nobody makes boots as wide as the SPKs. So I figure they aren't gonna make the same SPKs again?
The SPK as you know it is never coming back. The reason that park boots are few and far between is that there is no real difference between a wide all mountain boot and a wide park boot. The SPK was originally designed to be a rental boot but rental dealers didn't want it so BAM it was turned into park boot. Same goes for Full Tilt- a race boot from 1980 is all of a sudden a great park boot. Ski boots are working so well now that if you really wanted some added shock absorption to your boot then a competent boot-fitter could easily sort you out.
Try to find the best boot-fitter in your area, bring in your old boots, and have him/her try to get the best option for your foot shape and the amount of cushioning you are looking for. When you do that, you have a new boot that works just as well (if not better than) your original SPK.
