*Fujative*First off, yes this is out of your budget but I'd HIGHLY recommend this if you can afford it.
The legs are amazing. Having a gear center post helps out so much. You can go with a cheaper head but I'd highly recommend the legs. I've had them over or 5 years and are still rock solid.
Head - $199
Legs - $329
WPochHoly fuck $330 for legs damn. Thanks for the suggestion I'll look into them!
eheath"very nice tripod" and "$200-300" doesnt exist. Best you can do is a satchler ace for around $500.
eheathAlso OP considering you have an fs100, you should save up some money for a nice tripod. With my fs100 I was using my current tripod, fsb4 ($850) and miller solo legs ($350) and that was barely enough, if youre going to have a nice camera, you need to have nice gear.
j-calLook into the davis and sanford. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/598810-REG/Davis_Sanford_PROVISTAGR18_Davis_Sanford_PROVISTAGR18.html
I have had this tripod for years and it work great. One thing i would highly NOT recommend is getting legs with a center connecting design. Like the manfroto legs recommended above. I have had very bad luck with the center breaking and getting jammed. Also it is much harder to set up the tripod how you would like. These legs are expensive but killer.
