Should I detune?
I picked up a new set of B-dogs for this season and they are sitting in plastic still. I planned on detuning them underfoot but now I am second guessing it. I had acl and meniscus surgery this spring and am not sure just how much park skiing I will do my first season back, and realistically will be more backcountry.
My question I guess is: if I don't detune them and want to hit an occasional box/rail, how bad should I expect to gnar the bottoms. Or do you fellow NS'ers think I should just knock them edges down anyway.
Thanks, +K to good advice

you should mount them upside down like the double dipper skateboard
God Save the Robots
i just had a meniscus surgery this year and I'm trying to get back into park but i was always more of a mountain guy so i wouldn't detune and enjoy the mountain
If you want you can do a slight detune underfoot and leave the rest sharp so you still have some edge left. You also don't need to heavily detune you could just slightly detune so you still have some sharpness underfoot but not a razor edge
PS this should be posted in gear talk not ski gabber

I would say yes, a detune undefoot will be good for you. Detuning underfoot will ensure you're safe from catching edge in the park, but won't take away from the carving power you'll have in the BC. I ride park skis with edges as sharp as basketballs in the BC and I don't mind, you will be fine with a light detune
