Need a new tent

Campers/woodsman of NS, I am in need of a new tent and need some suggestions. Had a decent field and stream 6-8 person unit but it got sort of thrashed last year at peach fest.

That one was a bit too big for my liking, too much to lug around especially at montage hiking up to find a site and everything. Looking for something that will last awhile, with enough space for 2-4 people. Trying not to spend any more than $300 or so.

Thanks for any help hopefully i'll see some of you fellow northeasters at the peach this year

Also i'll mainly be using it in the summer months so I don't need a gnarly 4 season space tent or any crazy jibber jabber like that

I have this tent, the Kelty Gunnison 2.3 and it's probably my favorite tent I've ever owned. Its light, durable, and a great 2 person tent. I use it for backpacking a lot and being a 2 person tent, it's a bit cozy at times but overall still great. During the summer months it's still nice and cool in there too.

If you're looking for something even bigger, they offer a 3 person called the Gunnison 3.3, and I think it's still under $300

Thanks man i'll definitely check that out! yeah i forgot to mention the main things i'm looking for are lightweight and fairly easy to assemble. Some of those new fangled tents out there are a bitch to set up

Walmart has a perfect 4 person tent for 40 bucks.

How about my pants tent... On a more serious note. The rei half dome. It has a double vestibule and a solid construction. I have a two person but there is a size called two person plus.

Nemo Galaxy 2p tent. Sells for 249.99 on REI right now. I currently have the Losi 2p tent, which is essentially the beefed up version of the Galaxy. Nemo products are extremely high quality in comparison to most companies in the same price range. My tent has over 200 days and I have yet to tear or break anything, and there were some pretty gnarly days. (snow/rain and really high wind speeds)
