OregonDeadAround here you can ski for free once you're 72. You have to last that long to be able to take advantage of it. Be careful man. It's not like you messed up your hand or something you can ski without. If it were me I wouldn't get too set on skiing this season and I would try to prepare mentally to take a full year off like your doctor advised. When winter comes around have the docs check you out again and see if they still have the same advice.
gapersarefriendsFirst of all, you're a fucking moron for front flipping something first try.
It's your neck man, if you take a risk before your doctor says it's safe, you could end up In a wheelchair. I definitely would take it easy
Mingg^^Dude, really? Why do you have to be a fucking dick. Save that shit for NSG or whatever.
OP, I'm sorry to hear that and it's pretty tough. If I were you I wouldn't worry about it now. There is nothing you can do so worrying about it is pointless. Just rest as much as you can and let yourself heal. When winter comes you can make your decision but right now just take it easy. Happy your injury wasn't any worse and that you'll make a good recovery. Sending good vibes your way man. (:
CHU-TANG_CLANheal up good homie. see how you feel by winter. i bet if you went for constant appointments with the doctors and did vigorous training things could turn around by winter
Ebola"didn't think I could get seriously injured" it was only 15-20 ft higher then a cliff I kept trying doubles on and I was fine no matter how bad I landed.
xX*TACO-DOG*Xxthink about it this way: you can ski in 5 months against your doctors will, fuck up on a 5 or whatever, land on your back in a bad way and then boom, you're paralyzed from the neck down for the rest of your life. any kind of sport you did will never be the same.
if it were me, i'd take the 5 months in a neck brace over possibly a lifetime in a wheelchair
