Give this a read. I am not saying Thorpe is correct, but rather that I am skeptical of Sanders plan working out like he believes it will.

S.J.WOkay so we have sources that contradict each other. But as someone who has lived in Canada and Australia with universal health care you have no idea how good the system is compared to Americas. I pay 2.5% of my taxes for universal health care. Now I earn around 14K a year. That's $350 a year I pay for health care. Surely that's a hell alot cheaper than what someone my age in the states working part time, and studying full time would pay for health care.

S.J.WWhen my auntie blew her ACL she got it cared to straight away. When I broke my leg, I got it cared to straight away. When I had to get stitches I got it cared to straight away. When my friend fell of a roof and was in a coma he didn't have to wait for a bed or surgery. Very few people actually have to wait for surgery in Australia. It's only the very common saturated surgeries that have a waiting list. And they prioritize the waiting list, aka an old lady will get surgery before me because she needs it more than I do. America needs to stop only thinking about themselves and start thinking about other people, selfishness is a disease and will ruin you.

Funnily enough, I actually agree with you. I wouldn't mind paying 2.5% of my salary to covering all the poor, and the losers like you. However, this would be predicated of course on paying lower health insurance premiums (since I wouldn't be subsidizing the Obamacare folks anymore through my premiums), and separate hospitals for those who have health insurance and those who do not.

I want something for my money besides some feelgood bullshit. If I can pay 2.5% to keep the trash like you out of my hospital, then I'm 100% for it.
